"Our products are cutting-edge and connect you to the living, breathing needs of the Milk community in NYC," says cofounder and creative director Georgie Greville. "We strived to make every product as natural as possible while still delivering bold, nourishing results that feel like you are wearing nothing. When you feel the fairy-kiss light textures of the Lip Pigment and Marshmallow Concealer, you will know what I mean. The packaging is chic and minimal, which allowed us to give even more love to the formulations." Yep, you read that right — Marshmallow Concealer. Go ahead and take our money, Milk.
The good news is you don't have to wait to give them all of your money. While the line itself doesn't open to the public until February 8, Milk is giving R29 readers exclusive access to shop the site now. Yup, right this second. Head to the Milk Makeup website and use code vibes888 at the very top of the page, and you can get early access to buy the collection right now. So you can get your shop on and not worry about everything selling out faster than an Alexander Wang for H&M collection.
The products are vegan and paraben-free, and feature cool and innovative packaging that is more than just a pretty face: "All things were formulated to be applied with your fingers or a built-in applicator, to use your own body heat to blend a product —not a tool," says chief operating officer Dianna Ruth.
So what makes this different than your usual celeb/socialite/YouTuber makeup launch? Besides the cool AF products (no bland eyeshadow quartets here), it’s the minds behind the brand. Instead of being "born in a boardroom," Milk Makeup — like its namesake studio — is a product of a brain trust of creative trailblazers. Filmmakers, makeup artists, magazine editors — the lineup of folks behind the brand is like a who's who of the fashion and art world.
Now, click through to see some of our faves, and then head over and scoop up yours. It's like being first in line at a Louboutin sample sale — you'll get the best stuff and get to gloat to the unfortunate masses still waiting in line. Not that you'd do that, of course, because you're a classy broad. But you get the gist.

Says Greville, "Our Lip Pigment has a 30% pigment load, which is unprecedented and makes a little go a long way. One swipe, a lip smack, and you're good." The product can go on sheer, or be layered for a more intense color payoff.
Milk Makeup Lip Pigment in That Red Tho, $24, available at Milk Makeup.

A not-so-subtle reference to the hemp used in these blotting papers. The brand also helpfully notes that you can use them as rolling papers. Double-duty!
Milk Makeup Roll + Blot in Leaf, $10, available at Milk Makeup.

They had us at Marshmallow Concealer. This innovative two-piece concealer features a rollerball top that disperses liquid skin evener to blend over the face. The handy, removable pot features the aforementioned Marshmallow, a cream-textured concealer you can press on stubborn blemishes and imperfections to make them disappear.
Milk Makeup Coverage Duo, $30, available at Milk Makeup.

This "watercolor" liquid blush is a rollerball (notice a packaging trend?) that you can dab on the apples of your cheeks and then blend in for a sheer, healthy flush.
Milk Makeup Blush Oil in Ripe, $26, available at Milk Makeup.

These matte shadows — another marshmallow formula — also double as highlighters and matte-finish lip colors. The soft texture means they're super-blendable and easy to build.
Milk Makeup Matte Quad in Foursome, $36, available at Milk Makeup.

When you're not feeling like going full-on glam with your fringe, this "stain" will darken lashes and add length without pumping up the volume and creating a faux-lash effect. For those times when you want to go low-key, but don't want to look like you've given up on life (a.k.a., are hungover).
Milk Makeup Weekend Lash Stain, $22, available at Milk Makeup.

Another double-duty beauty, this oil stick is a blend of apricot, avocado, calendula, jojoba, and orange-peel oils (so basically, all of the oils), and you can swipe it all over the face to add moisture. Or, apply it over makeup for a subtle glow. You can also use it on your brows and hair to add control.
Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil, $24, available at Milk Makeup.

We've always been drawn to products that look like school supplies, and this highlighter-esque lip stain is no exception. The angled tip makes precise application a breeze, and the resulting stain can be lightly applied or layered for a bold look. And that stain stays put. All day. Like, applied in the a.m. and still going strong (without feeling dry or sticky) come dinnertime.
Milk Makeup Lip Marker, $20, available at Milk Makeup.

Micellar water, the French import credited for Parisians' infamous gorgeous-without-trying skin, appears here in wipe form, making it super-duper convenient. Like traditional micellar, these genius little pads trap oil and makeup and lift them from the skin. The addition of skin-calming green tea, chamomile, coconut, and cucumber only adds to their complexion-nurturing properties.
Milk Makeup Micellar Water Makeup Remover Wipes, $14, available at Milk Makeup.

And for those times when you are feeling saucy, this ultra-cool mascara is a blend of ubame-oak charcoal (for texture) and "sapphire dust" for dimension. The triple-ball brush (snicker) is ideal for depositing the formula and plumping up lashes.
Milk Makeup Ubame Mascara, $24, available at Milk Makeup.

We were immediately intrigued by this one's name — what exactly is an oil lip stain? It's the best thing on the planet, is what it is. It's a non-sticky lip hydrator that leaves behind a light-red stain post-application. It's the ultimate in low-key, IDGAF beauty.
Milk Makeup Oil Lip Stain in Tude, $18, available at Milk Makeup.

Again with that highlighter packaging, this time for eyes. The felt tip delivers waterproof color that the brand promises won't fade, smudge, or feather. So now, your painstakingly applied cat-eye won't turn into an unidentifiable black blob.
Milk Makeup Eye Marker, $20, available at Milk Makeup.

Surprise — it's another rollerball! This one is a luxe-feeling, glow-giving, skin-hydrating oil. Greville recommends getting out of the shower and misting your still-wet face, then rolling the Sunshine Oil onto your forehead and cheeks. Then, just rub it in and go about your makeup routine.
Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil, $38, available at Milk Makeup.

If you're curious to see what all the fuss is but don't want to drop your hard-earned cash on something you're not sure about, this economy kit is filled with mini sizes of the Sunshine Oil, Rosé Lip Salve, Baked Matte Bronzer, and Micellar Water Makeup Remover Wipes. Plus...stickers!
