The two share a passion for art and modern design (Jacobs is a curator at The Road Gallery), and the 130-person event with a Jewish ceremony was minimal and sleek, while still feeling warm and inviting. Rows of ghost chairs were set up around long, family-style tables, which were decorated with elegant mini-tablescapes from interior designer Lea Frank instead of traditional centerpieces and flowers.
Perhaps the most inspiring element of all? Eric and Neil's big day took place just a few weeks after the Supreme Court’s momentous decision to legalize same-sex marriage. "The ceremony took on extra significance for us," the couple tells Refinery29. "It was deeply emotional and we found ways to include our friends and family that were very meaningful." Photographer Sheena Kim of Unique Lapin Photography captured the grooms getting ready in their home before for the main event.
"We dispensed with tradition and got ready together at our home in Hell’s Kitchen on the morning of our big day," Jacobs tells us. "Looking back, that’s one of the things we love the most about our photographs — the story they tell of the day from beginning to end. We picked some of our favorite New York places to take photos, such as the High Line, before arriving at the venue."

And...it's official!
"The ceremony was in the Sky Room, which has beautiful views of downtown Manhattan," Ganz says. "Despite a few clouds earlier in the day, we were lucky enough to get a stunning sunset during the cocktail hour. "

The pared-down dinner setup featured architectural objects front and center.
"Rather than having a florist, we reached out to our interior designer Lea Frank of Lea Frank Designs, who had worked on our home office," says Jacobs. "Thankfully she agreed to design the decor for the wedding. She knows our style well and pulled together a look that was both contemporary and organic, combining metal, cement, and wood elements."

Stunning. We love how guests got to peek outside during dinner.
"We knew that we wanted a unique and original venue for our wedding, but at the same time a very New York, urban feel," says Ganz. "We only looked at three venues, and when we saw The New Museum, we knew straight away it was the one for us."

How adorable are these cake toppers, fashioned to look just like the couple and their cat?
"I had been looking here, there, and everywhere for cake toppers and came across Peg & Pin on Etsy," Jacobs says. "Owner Jessica Lepak was an absolute joy to work with. She asked me for intricate details of our suits and I sent photos of Eric and I to her. I also wanted to include our other family member, Simon the cat, and clearly he was the star of the show. Jessica totally nailed it! The cake toppers are now in our home office and serve as a delightful reminder of the most amazing day of our lives."
